America - Sep/Oct 2010

I'll be taking a whirlwind trip to America in Sep/Oct 2010. I'm afraid I can't be everywhere, but I'll be a few great places and would love to meet you. I'll try to catch the rest of you on another trip.

MINNESOTA - The big thing I'm coming for is the brilliant Red Hot Rebel Read project at Champlin Park High School, just north of Minneapolis, where I'll be doing tons of events with the students there (2800 of them, all of whom are reading Knife!). Part of it includes a public event at the school on 30 September at 7:00pm, so it'd be great if you'd like to come along.

I shall also be signing books at the Red Balloon Bookshop on Grand Street in St Paul on Saturday, 2 October from 12-1pm. Details here. Even cooler, Suzanne Collins will there at 2pm the same day, so a big YA trilogy bonanza, if you want to come on down.

WISCONSIN - I'll be visiting a school and recording an appearance on Wisconsin Public Radio. More details soon.

SEATTLE - I'll be visiting some schools here (almost my hometown!), visiting Amazon and also doing a public signing at Third Place Books in Lake Forest on Thursday, 7 October from 4-5pm (who are also reading Knife as part of their Teen Book Club). Great to see some folks from home there, if you can make it.

PORTLAND, OR - And finally, I'll be appearing twice at Wordstock Literature Festival in Portland on Saturday, 9 October, once on a panel from noon-1pm with LK Madigan and Conrad Wesselhoeft, and then in a solo event from 5-6pm. Tickets don't seem quite available just yet, but I'll keep you posted.
