A Monster Calls is an Editor's Choice in today's New York Times, which is very cool, and also a recommendation in the Observer, also very cool.  In celebration (and in that I've been bad at updating recently with anything other than news), here's a new entry in my occasional series of iPod eps, from my own music selection.  I give you the iPod of All

And so it has in the Children's category.  In a really, REALLY strong shortlist, too, including Lauren St John, Annabel Pitcher, Eva Ibbotson, Oliver Jeffers and Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.  Monsters of Men was shortlisted last year, and it was quite a fun party, as I remember it...

Hey, everyone, thanks for all the million and one comments about the movie news on Chaos Walking.  Cool stuff.  I did just want to say here that if, at whatever point in the future (and who knows?), there is ever information on casting or auditions or anything like that, I'll definitely put it up here on this sight.  So don't worry, you won't miss anything.

I am very happy to finally (finally) announce, after years of politely saying no, that I have at last, said yes.

Lionsgate (currently making The Hunger Games) have acquired film rights for all three books in the Chaos Walking trilogy.  The producer on it will be Doug Davison, who produced The Departed and How to Train Your Dragon (among many others), and you can read more about it in Variety or The Wrap.

Long way to go, obviously, but I'll admit, it's a bit exciting.
