Two new blog tour entries

|

Two cool new entries for the A Monster Calls US blog tour.  Jim Kay and I chat about the illustrations on YA Bibliophile, and a review on Bookshelves of Doom where the book makes her nose bleed.  No lie.  Scroll down for more!

The really fun blog tour I'm doing for the US release of A Monster Calls continues with two new interviews, one on Lisa Busy Nerding and one on the YA YA YAs.  Check 'em out!  (and scroll down for more).

Also, I'll be appearing at the Cheltenham Festival on Saturday, 8 October at 1pm with the terrific Jason Wallace.  Tickets available here, so come say hello.

And finally, a big greeting to the new commenters, including Geli who scoops me on the news that the Hungarian version of The Ask and the Answer is released this week.  It's called Valasz es Kerdes.  Have a look.

Wednesday blog tour guest spot

The A Monster Calls US blog tour continues today with me doing a guest spot on Cynsations.  Check it out!

US publication day for A Monster Calls

|

Yep, it's today.  A Monster Calls officially comes out in the US today.  Can't wait to hear what you think about it.

To mark pubication, the blog tour takes off in full force today, with appearances (by me!) on I Read Banned Books and Charlotte's Library and a review on A Rep Reading (by the ultra-awesome Teresa Kratvin).  Check 'em out!

Also, UK news in that I've just learned that A Monster Calls has been longlisted for the UKLA Book Award, along with some seriously heavy-hitting names.  A VERY strong list, lots of good titles in there to read.

Yet more soon!

A Monster Calls US blog tour begins

And yet another quick hit to say that to coincide with the US publication of A Monster Calls (tomorrow! Yep, tomorrow), I'm starting a blog tour today, with me on the blog of the estimable Monica Edinger.  She takes a very interesting approach.  Check it out!
Another quick hit to say that A Monster Calls has its first big American newspaper review today in the Wall Street Journal.  It's a really good one, too, plus lots of love for Jim (he deserves every drop!).

American trailer for A Monster Calls

It's here, and I daresay, it's rather beautiful.  Check it out!

So much to come this week!

|

Yes, I know, nothing new here for almost two weeks!  I've been travelling, meeting a lot of fantastic people in Austria, Swizterland and Germany (where Sieben Minuten Nach Mitternacht just came out), and preparing for big ol' publication of A Monster Calls in America!  Which happens on Tuesday, so nearly there.  Can't wait to hear what you all think of it.

But there's SO MUCH to come, you won't believe your eyes, trust me, so more soon, and in the meantime, Knife of Never Letting Go just came out in Brazil!  It's called O Motivo, and I'd love to hear from more Brazilian readers.

Greetings to all the new commenters; I'm so sorry I can't respond to all of them (though I did pass on the lovely request from Jilleen), but I do read them!  More (much) soon.

More travels

|

Travelling, travelling, travelling, so there haven't been updates for a bit.  In fact, this is just to say that I'm back from a trip to Dublin for the very fun Mountains to Sea Festival, and off on Monday for a tour of Austria, Switzerland and Germany.  Details here, hope to meet a lot of German-speaking readers!

I'm afraid my trip to South Africa is no longer going to happen.  There was a whole lot of effort from a whole lot of people to make it work, but it just ended up being impossible this time (we really did try).  Which is a huge disappointment, but hopefully one day soon!

Greetings to the new commenters.  More soon...
